A Report on the Genesis Wave of Progress - March 2024
It’s so exciting to see growth in children from different aspect of their leadership skills and their spiritual life. Samkelo & Kwanele(Beast) had been adding so much value into W.OH ministry and other church areas through their Latitude Program. We are grateful to be able to raise young Leaders who want to be part of our ministry and serve the church. Kwanele & Samkelo had been very helpful by enable myself to multitask in some areas of the program. We thank God for their willingness.
Bible study group had been amazing with the lake point team around, sharing the word and leading small groups. Four Latitude Student will be joining our Bible Study group & SafePlay at Hlanganani for the rest of their program. Our surfers are highly grateful for the opportunity to participate in the grom games in Durban. This opportunity brought so much joy and inspiration into their sight as it comes as a reminder to them in knowing that the is so much to learn and explore in life. We are happy to see the Lord working daily through the children, Nine of our children put their hands up to be baptized this easter.
A Few Hurdles We've Faced This Month
Zanele is still trying to help us find a suitable school for Syanda as the doctors has confirm that he truly has a learning disability. Few weeks ago, He lost his cousin in a tragic way that left him and the entire family question God’s existence. Home visit had been really hard as the families hardly make the monthly end meet due to the high unemployment rate in South Africa.
Sihle is still staying with his aunt at Murchison, He liked the idea of thinking that He is an adult and he can take care of himself and his responsibilities. Although he is very responsible but he still needs his parents around especially when it comes to his financial needs. Food parcel had been really helpful in sustaining him. Child neglect is still one of the top issues in our society which show there is still a need for our program in the community to restore hope and share the gospel.
