Who we are

Genesis Hope Care is an NGO, operating in Marburg, Port Shepstone, KwaZulu Natal. Genesis Hope Care has played a major role in the holistic care and support for its patients and their families from the surrounding communities of the UGU district Through high quality services offered, we are privileged to be able to impact the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS, TB, Cancers, Strokes, Pressure Sores, Diabetes, Post-Operative Conditions and Chronic Illnesses.

We provide medical, nursing, spiritual and compassionate care to clients in their own homes, either until they are well enough to cope on their own, or they pass away with dignity and surrounded by love. We work closely with Community Health Clinics in order to provide effective care for patients.

Support a Patient

What is ‘support a patient?’

The Support a Patient programme is an innovative concept in which individuals, groups or companies help to sponsor the much-needed care for community patients who have HIV/AIDS, Cancer, TB, Post-Op Conditions and Chronic illnesses. This covers a share of the medical, nursing, nurtritional rehabilitation, psycho-social and administrative costs entailed in caring for each patient.

Participants in the programme can sponsor (or part- sponsor) the treatment for a community patient for as many days as they would like. It may be; once-off, monthly, one day or more. This will enable us to provide Home Based Care to government hospital patients in their own homes.

How does it work?

Why get Involved

Many people who have HIV/AIDS, Cancer, TB, Strokes, Chronic illnesses, poverty and other social needs do not have the finances to afford basic Home Based Care. For these poeple, medical, nursing, spiritual and compassionate care will be provided for them in their own homes, until they are well enough to cope on their own, or until they pass away with dignigty and are surrounded by love, which is an immeasurable benefit.

Genesis Community Centre supports patients and families with high quality medical and health care for those who are not in a position to acquire this themselves. Your donations will go directly toward helping these patients and families to receive the health care that they need.
