Hosting students & scholars

We have had a number of University students coming to volunteer with us as part of their required community service hours. This has been a success & I am sure that this number will grow. In a short time we will be hosting a group from Esayidi College on 16 July to do an interview.

We host a large number of scholars from surrounding schools, mainly Sheppy High & Creston,  who have to come and serve their community service hours. They are mainly sent to the Baby Home & Murchison Community Centre.

We have even had a theology student who needed to do some voluntary hours as part of his studies. Kay Bailey, a regular El-Roi volunteer, is now part of The Youth Ministry at Open Skies Church in Kloof. She brought nine of her young people to volunteer with us from 25th -28th March. They stayed at Ekhaya & helped with The Holiday Bible Club.

We are expecting a group of 28 scholars and 3 leaders from The Michael Mount Waldorf School. They will also be staying at Ekhaya & plugging into all of our ministries. (Oct 2024)
