Thriving Through Fitness

A Recap On Our Genesis Gyms for February and March 2024

We are thrilled to share some recent highlights and successes from our gym over the past couple of months. Despite the challenges we've faced, we've successfully maintained a steady membership base, with an average of 200 members. In February, we welcomed 201 new members, with 25 individuals joining our CrossFit program and 175 opting for our general gym facilities. Among these, 88 members settled their dues in cash, while 100 made payments via card, and 13 utilized electronic fund transfers. Moreover, 7 members opted for a three-month payment plan, while 197 preferred the monthly subscription option.

As we moved into March, we experienced a slight increase in membership, totalling 202 individuals. This includes 124 male and 77 female members, reflecting our commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Additionally, I am excited to announce that we are currently in the process of enhancing various areas within the gym. This includes upgrading our lighting systems and enhancing shower facilities for both males and females. The positive feedback we've received from our members reaffirms that these improvements are valued and appreciated.

On the ministry front, our morning devotions continue to be a cornerstone of our gym program, held every Wednesday and Friday. Due to the overwhelming support from our members, I'm pleased to announce that we will be expanding our devotional offerings to include daily sessions. Moreover, I am proud to share the progress of our coaching team. Mlekeleli and I recently attended a coaching workshop, where we gained valuable insights to enhance our coaching skills. I'm particularly pleased with Mlekeleli's progress, as he has demonstrated exceptional growth in his coaching abilities.

Additionally, I commend Sifundo, Thando, and Siphamandla for their dedicated service and commitment to providing excellent assistance to our members. Lastly, I am thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievements of two of our athletes, Bongani Mhlongo and Wanda Mvundla. Bongani excelled at the KZN champ in IFF bodybuilding show, while Wanda emerged victorious as the KZN Champ of Champs in Olympic Weightlifting. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Genesis Gym for their generous support in sponsoring their fees and transportation. Looking ahead, we are excited to host a strongman competition event on April 27th, and our members are eagerly anticipating this event.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement as we strive to cultivate a positive and enriching environment at our gym.
